Today we were joined by past E-board members Yen Vu, John Mwangi, Abby Lyons, and Christina McConney for a virtual Q&A session. We got to learn about their favorite classes at Northeastern (shoutout Professor Roth and Potts-Santone) and more about their co-op experiences across medical and research fields.
Big thank you to our Tri-Beta family for returning to hang out with us!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our February speed-dating meeting! We had lots of fun eating Valentines Candy and mingling with all of you. Shout out to Vy for making the cutest Valentines candy bags!
Today we got to know more about Dr. Mary-Susan Potts-Santone, our incredible Trip-Beta advisor! We learned about her experiences in Marine research and about the classes she teaches at Northeastern- her favorite being Human Parasitology. A fun fact is her favorite animal is a koala!
Her word of advice to Undergrads is to take advantage of the beginning of the semester before classes haven’t picked up. This is a great time to learn more about your own interests and reach out to potential research opportunities.
Welcome to all the new members, we are excited to have you in the chapter! Since finals are approaching, we will be offering study hours in place of a meeting next week. This is a great opportunity to study with other TriBeta members (many of which you may have classes with!) and fulfill the attendance requirement for the semester. The study hours will be held on:
12/7 from 6-7 pm in the Richards Room 12/9 from 7-9 pm in 204 Hastings
